The Power of Hidden Teams: Not on the org chart but fully engaged with results
A culture of highly collaborative teams leads to successful innovation, employee satisfaction and bottom line benefits for organizations. Employee engagement is a lever that team leaders can pull to achieve measurable team outcomes. The ADP Research Institute (ADPRI) says that those that work on a team are twice as likely to be fully engaged (i.e. excited about work, especially when the team leader is extremely trusted). Interestingly, teams are not geographically dependent; but rather psychologically threaded together. Ongoing and frequent “check-ins” between team member and leader jolts the enthusiastic button to the highest.
Build a story around an award or icon or gift to tie the team together. Making it personal and telling a story are key ingredients for a highly performing team.
